Community Water that Weathers the Storm

From navigating finances to construction and training, we’re building solutions to overcome barriers to the rapid rollout of equitable drinking water solutions for small communities.

What is VersaWater?

VersaWater is a collaboration of experts in finance, governance, community education, workforce training, engineering, and resilient water system technologies. Our goal is to partner with small communities to provide affordable, prefabricated drinking water systems with wrap-around support for all aspects of system management. These sustainable systems are designed to withstand emergencies and support long-term operations. We are working to scale this vision and approach in 2026.

Utility-In-A-Box

Small systems face barriers to delivering clean water to their residents. By piloting our tech and offering accompanying services, we seek to offer support for communities every step of the way.

Beyond our technology itself, our aim is to provide guidance and technical assistance to enable communities to acquire, operate, and safely manage their water treatment system.  Pairing this suite of wrap-around services with our innovative technology is what we call “utility-in-a-box.” Through this model, our goal is to provide communities with:

  • A prefabricated, gravity powered water treatment system designed for up to 250 people

  • Assistance navigating grants and meeting regulatory requirements

  • Support for engineering, procurement, and construction oversight

  • Tools, training, and management resources to sustain long-term local control

Tech built for small systems, no matter the weather

We support the implementation of small-scale water treatment technology, which is built on 20 years of research and offers an affordable, gravity-powered, no-electricity-needed filtration system that comes prefabricated to cut costs.
